No active credential scheme

Proposed membership credentials

WIMA has not approved or issued a membership credential, professional certificate, accreditation, protected professional designation, fellowship or specialist designation.

Applications not open

The only launch credential under consideration

If the membership scheme passes every governance, privacy and operational gate, the initial credential would be limited to membership status. It could state the approved category, current WIMA status, validity period and governing rule version.

It would not be a licence, accreditation, certificate of specialist competence, endorsement of services or guarantee of a client's outcome. It would not reproduce an external authority's licence.

Minimum disclosure

Fields a future status credential would require

Identity and basis

  • opaque credential and subject public IDs;
  • controlled credential type;
  • World Investment Migration Association as issuer;
  • immutable scheme version.

Validity and status

  • issue, valid-from and valid-until dates;
  • active, expired, suspended, revoked, withdrawn or superseded status;
  • effective date for a non-active status;
  • last update timestamp.

Scope and verification

  • plain-language scope and limitations;
  • canonical WIMA verification URL;
  • SHA-256 digest for an issued file, if any;
  • correction and suspected-misuse route.

Issue and revocation controls

A static PDF or QR code could never prove current status by itself. A QR code would contain only the canonical WIMA verification URL. The current server record would control, and a status change would need to update the relationship, credential, public record and caches from one authoritative decision.

Old identifiers would resolve to an explicit expired, revoked, withdrawn or superseded state rather than disappear. No credential could be issued until the underlying membership rules, decision authority, privacy basis and revocation workflow are approved and tested.
