Corrections

WIMA distinguishes a correction to an earlier error from an update caused by a later event.

Public correction record

No public records

No material correction notices are recorded

No material correction notice has been published for the pages in this rebuild as at 2 October 2026. This state does not cover ordinary spelling, formatting or broken-link repairs that do not change meaning.

What WIMA corrects publicly

A public notice is required when an error changes or could materially distort a fact, date, status, source, calculation, ranking, classification, authorship statement, limitation or structured-data field. A fixed data release or versioned document is not overwritten under the same identifier.

Correction classes

Presentation repair
Spelling, punctuation, layout or an equivalent replacement link where meaning and evidence do not change.
Material correction
An earlier fact, source, status, value or qualification was wrong, but the work remains usable after repair.
Revised release
A change affects a substantial part of a fixed dataset, method or conclusion and requires a new version.
Withdrawal
The central work cannot remain reliable or safe, or publication was not authorised.

What a notice contains

A material correction notice identifies:

  • the affected page, record, document version or release;
  • the incorrect wording or value and the corrected wording or value;
  • the source and exact provision supporting the correction;
  • the correction date and the effect on conclusions or related outputs;
  • the accountable approver or approved body, when available; and
  • links between the notice, the corrected item and the previous safe version.

Report a possible error

This site does not operate a correction form or publish an unverified email address. A report may be sent in writing to World Investment Migration Association at Rue de Carouge 73, 1205 Genève, Switzerland. Mark the correspondence “Correction report”.

Include the page URL, the exact statement or field, why it may be wrong and the public source that supports the report.

Do not send passports, identity cards, bank records, applications or sensitive case files. The published postal route is not a secure channel for special-category or confidential evidence. The contact page explains the limits of written correspondence.

Assessment and outcome

A report is checked against the preserved page version and the highest-authority available source. The outcome may be a correction, clarification, update, no change, withdrawal or referral to a privacy, security or legal process. A change is not labelled as an update when it repairs an error.
