Written correspondence

Contact WIMA

WIMA publishes one postal route for formal written correspondence. This site does not provide an email address, telephone number or contact form.

Postal contact

This is the address recorded in the Swiss UID Register. Publication of the address does not represent that it is a walk-in office, public reception desk or place where documents can be delivered in person.

What to include

Written correspondence should contain enough information to identify its purpose without including unnecessary personal data:

  • the sender’s name and a postal address for any reply;
  • a short subject line, such as “Legal identity”, “Correction report” or “Accessibility feedback”;
  • the relevant WIMA page URL, record identifier or document title; and
  • a concise description of the question or issue.

WIMA does not publish a response-time commitment. Postal delivery and receipt are not confirmed through this site.

Matters this channel does not handle

The postal route is not a visa office, advisory service, emergency service or casework portal. WIMA cannot:

  • accept or decide a visa, residence, citizenship or border-admission application;
  • provide legal, immigration, tax, financial or investment advice;
  • confirm the likely outcome or timing of an application to a public authority;
  • verify a person, member, credential or organisation where no approved public record exists; or
  • receive a membership or standards application before the relevant rules and workflow are operational.

Do not send sensitive documents

Do not send original identity documents, passport copies, bank statements, payment-card information, source-of-funds records, medical information, client files, application bundles, passwords or access codes. The published postal route is not designated as a secure evidence-transfer channel.

If WIMA later opens a process that requires confidential evidence, that process must publish its own notice, minimum document requirements, secure transfer method and responsible owner before collection begins.

Specific correspondence

Possible content error
Mark the letter “Correction report” and follow the information requested on the corrections page.
Privacy request
Mark the letter “Privacy request”. Provide only the information necessary to identify the request and the relevant interaction.
Accessibility feedback
Mark the letter “Accessibility feedback” and identify the page, task, device or assistive technology involved.

Public authority questions

Questions about eligibility, application status or legal rights should be directed to the public authority responsible for the relevant matter. WIMA’s policy pages may link to an official source, but WIMA does not act for that authority.
