Privacy notice

The public WIMA site is a static information service. It has no user accounts, submission forms, marketing cookies or third-party audience analytics.

Who is responsible

World Investment Migration Association (WIMA), a Swiss association (Verein), operates this public website and determines the purposes of the limited processing described in this notice. Its Swiss UID is CHE-190.149.065. The address recorded in the Swiss UID Register is Rue de Carouge 73, 1205 Genève, Switzerland.

Information you do not submit through this site

The present site has no account registration, sign-in, membership application, contact form, newsletter form, payment facility, comment function or document-upload feature. It therefore does not ask visitors to enter names, email addresses, telephone numbers, application data or identity documents in a web form.

Do not attempt to send personal or confidential material through a URL, query string or another unintended site function. The contact page explains the published postal route and the material that must not be sent through it.

Technical request data

A web request necessarily supplies technical information to the systems that deliver and protect the site. This can include the IP address, request time, requested URL, request method, browser or user-agent information, referrer information, response status and security events.

This information may be processed to:

  • return the page or file requested;
  • maintain availability and diagnose technical faults;
  • detect abusive, automated or malicious requests; and
  • protect the site, its infrastructure and other visitors.

Hosting and recipients

The site is built for delivery through Cloudflare’s network and Workers platform. Cloudflare processes request and security data as an infrastructure provider when serving the site. WIMA has not added a separate advertising, marketing or audience-profiling service to the public pages.

Technical data may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or where necessary to investigate and respond to a security incident. WIMA does not sell public-site visitor data.

Cookies and browser storage

WIMA’s public pages do not set or read cookies, local storage or similar browser storage. There is no cookie banner because the deployed public pages do not use a consent-dependent tracking technology. The cookie notice contains the current inventory and will be updated before any such technology is enabled.

Retention

The application code does not create a separate visitor account or visitor-profile database. Infrastructure request and security records, where generated, are kept under the operational retention settings of the hosting service and are not repurposed by this site for advertising or individual audience profiles. Records may be kept longer only where a specific security incident or legal obligation requires preservation.

International processing

Cloud delivery can involve processing on infrastructure in more than one country. WIMA does not use a visitor’s location to provide a different institutional page and has not implemented application-level transfers of account, form or member data because those features are absent.

External links

This site links to the Swiss UID Register and may link to other public sources. Following an external link sends a request to the operator of that website. Its privacy practices apply to that request. WIMA does not embed those external services in its institutional pages.

Your requests

Rights depend on the law that applies to the processing. They may include requesting information about personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion where continued processing is not required, or an objection to particular processing.

A privacy request may be sent in writing to World Investment Migration Association, Rue de Carouge 73, 1205 Genève, Switzerland. Mark the correspondence “Privacy request”. State the relevant website interaction and the request. Do not send an identity document unless WIMA later explains why proportionate identity verification is necessary and provides a suitable channel.

Changes to this notice

This notice must be updated before WIMA introduces an account, form, application, newsletter, payment, analytics, embedded media or other feature that changes the processing described here. A new version will state its publication date and the material change.
