Legal and access

Website terms

These terms apply to the public information pages at worldinvestmentmigration.org. They do not create membership, a credential, an advisory relationship or a right to an immigration outcome.

About WIMA

World Investment Migration Association (WIMA) is a Swiss association (Verein), UID CHE-190.149.065. WIMA is not a government authority and does not issue visas, residence permits or citizenship. Its legal identity page explains what the UID record establishes and what it does not establish.

Information, not professional advice

WIMA publishes general information, methods and public records. Website content is not legal, immigration, tax, financial or investment advice. It does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary or representative relationship.

A page may summarise a public source, but the source and applicable law control. Obtain appropriately qualified advice before acting on circumstances specific to you.

Public decisions and applications

Only the responsible public authority can decide a visa, residence, citizenship or border-admission matter. WIMA does not accept applications for a public authority, influence a decision, guarantee processing time or guarantee an outcome.

The public website presently has no WIMA membership application or account workflow. Nothing on an informational page establishes that applications are open or that a person or organisation holds a WIMA status.

Dates, sources and changes

Laws, administrative practices, fees and entry rules can change after a page’s last verified date. A “last verified” date records a review event; it is not a promise that the underlying source will remain unchanged. Confirm material requirements with the responsible authority before relying on them.

WIMA may update a living page when later events occur. An error in an earlier publication is handled under the corrections policy. A fixed release or versioned document should be identified by its release or version number.

Permitted use

You may access, read, link to and cite public pages for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • present WIMA content, identity or branding as government material;
  • alter a record or remove its date, source, status, version or limitation when reproducing an extract;
  • use the site to misrepresent membership, a credential, accreditation or another status;
  • probe, disrupt, overload or circumvent the security of the site or its hosting infrastructure;
  • use automated access in a manner that impairs the service or ignores applicable technical controls; or
  • send personal data through URLs, query strings or functions not designed to collect it.

Documents and data

A downloadable document or dataset may carry a specific licence, version, attribution requirement or use limitation. Those item-specific terms control that material. The absence of a stated reuse licence does not grant permission to remove attribution, change a status record or represent a modified copy as a WIMA publication.

External sources

Links to public authorities and other external websites are provided so a reader can inspect the cited material. WIMA does not control an external website’s availability, accessibility, security, later amendments or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement or institutional relationship.

Availability and security

WIMA may restrict access when necessary to protect the site, respond to abuse, correct a material fault or comply with a legal requirement. The site may be unavailable during maintenance or an infrastructure incident. WIMA does not promise uninterrupted access or that an external source will remain reachable.

Responsibility for use

Use of the site does not transfer responsibility for checking an applicable source, obtaining qualified advice or meeting a deadline. To the extent permitted by applicable law, WIMA does not warrant that every page is complete or suitable for a particular decision. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Privacy and cookies

The privacy notice describes the limited processing associated with delivering the public site. The cookie notice records that the present pages do not use cookies, browser storage, marketing tags or audience analytics.

Changes to these terms

A material revision will be published as a new version with a publication date. A change does not retrospectively alter the status or licence of an immutable release or controlled document.
