Accessibility
WIMA is building this public site towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA and reports the status of the implementation without claiming untested conformance.
Accessibility target
The target for the public WIMA site is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. A formal conformance claim will not be made until representative pages, content types and user journeys have completed automated and manual review.
Features in the present site
- semantic headings, landmarks, lists, tables and labelled navigation;
- a skip link that moves keyboard focus to the main content;
- visible keyboard focus and controls that do not depend on hover;
- text alternatives for meaningful non-text content and decorative treatment hidden from assistive technology;
- page titles, descriptive links, breadcrumbs and one main heading per page;
- layouts that reflow for narrow viewports and allow text enlargement;
- no essential content or navigation that requires client-side JavaScript; and
- reduced-motion preferences respected by the site’s scrolling behaviour.
Known limits
Policy tables, search tools, comparison interfaces, downloadable documents and verification workflows are implemented and included in the release accessibility audit. No formal conformance claim is made for the site.
WIMA does not claim that every external website linked from its pages meets the same accessibility target. The Swiss UID Register is operated outside this site.
Report an accessibility barrier
This site does not operate a feedback form or publish an unverified email address. Accessibility feedback may be sent in writing to World Investment Migration Association, Rue de Carouge 73, 1205 Genève, Switzerland. Mark the correspondence “Accessibility feedback”.
Include, where possible:
- the URL and the task you were trying to complete;
- a description of the barrier;
- the browser, device and assistive technology used; and
- the format or adjustment that would make the information usable.
Do not include passwords, identity documents, financial records or sensitive case information. WIMA does not publish a response-time commitment for postal correspondence.
Alternative formats
A request for an alternative format should identify the page or document and the required format. Availability depends on the source material and the accessibility of any third-party document. WIMA will not ask for a medical diagnosis where the requested adjustment can be understood without it.
Review and updates
This statement will be revised after material design or content changes and after the release accessibility audit. A material error in this statement will be handled under the corrections policy.
